Values and Mission
Our Values
Servant Leadership
We aim to produce individuals to become bondservants for Christ and place the kingdom of God before any personal agenda. (See Mark 9:35). Some key qualities of servant leadership. Humility James 4:6, Abiding in Christ John 15:5, and Loving Christ through obedience John 15:10.
Authentic Community
A biblical community will help provide the surroundings that will encourage, challenge, and motivate the believer to cultivate and produce spiritual fruit. (See Acts 2:42-47). Scriptures that help identify our responsibility in being involved in authentic community:
Colossians 3:12-16, Galatians 6:1, 2, 1 Thess. 5:15, Col. 3:9, 10, 1 Pet. 4:8-10.
Equipping
Training individuals through the teaching and preaching of God's word that they might become contagious disciples that will reproduce spiritual fruit for the glory of God (See Ephesians 4:12). Key elements of equipping are to Study the Word, Know the Word, Apply the Word to your life, and Teach the Word completely and correctly. (See 1Corinthians 2:9-10, Matthew 18:20, Malachi 3:8).
Discipleship - Intentional pouring into, modeling life, and sharing life for the purpose of helping another grow in a relationship with God (See Matthew 28:19, Luke 11:1-4, 1 Cor. 4:15-16, Phil. 4:9).
Missional Living
To live with our hands open, generously giving away the truth, our time, talents, and treasures that God has entrusted to us to impact the world for the cause of Christ. Paul illustrates a great picture of missional living in Philippians.
Philippians 2:1-4
Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. (NASB) (See Matthew 5:14-16, Acts 20:35).
Our Mission
Love God - Love Others - Serve the World
Mark 12: 30, 31 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.‟ The second is: „Love your neighbor as yourself.‟ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
